An emblematic building dating back to 1640 AD has been carefully restored and transformed into a luxurious Boutique Hotel of 9 Residences & Suites right in the heart of the Old Town of Chania and next to historic Venetian Walls and the Old Harbour.  Notable among its former owners and residents are American poet and artist Charles Henri Ford , as well as the Ottoman Pasha who ruled Chania during the period.

Built within the Venetian Walls, AZADE Chania features 9 Residences & Suites, with impeccable amenities and services where you can experience true Cretan hospitality. Most Suites and Residences boast incredible views over the Old Harbor and Old Town Chania.

The renovation of the building, which lasted 4 years, managed to unite the Venetian and the Ottoman world, in a unique aesthetic and architectural result. Just like the city of Chania, which was at the crossroads of 3 cultures, the atmosphere that AZADE Chania exudes is unique and truly magical.

The hotel offers exclusive in-room and open-air dining showcasing exceptional Cretan local produce. AZADE Chania supports the local community by carefully choosing small, exquisite quality local farmers and suppliers. All the products are coming from the beautiful and fertile land of Crete, cultivated by small, independent farmers. The hotel’s restaurant, located in the ground floor opposite to one of the city’s most popular passages, is open for breakfast, light snacks, and drinks.
